Welcome to the official website of SEKE SA. | ννννννν | The Co-operative Union of Tobacco producers in Greece (S.E.K.E S.A.) was founded 62 years ago, in 1947 and is considered to be one of the most recognisable tobacco industries internationally. Its main activity is to buy, process and sale tobacco mainly Eastern type and especially Greek origin, which are known to be the finest worldwide. Nowadays SEKE, manages to maintain its important place in the world's Tobacco industrial map, by applying a modern and well organised business strategy, thus remaining an actual example of Co-operative application. | |

Basmas tobacco, is considered to be one of the finest tobacco on the world. Basmas is a "flavored" tobacco which is included by tobacco industries to add aroma and flavor.
The Katerini Type Tobacco grows in very few regions of the world, one of which is Katerini region of Greece. Katerini belongs to the "flavoring" tobacco types and is used mainly to add flavor.
The Virginia Type Tobacco grows in many countries all over the world, one of which is Greece. Virginia belongs to the "filling" tobacco types and is used to upgrade the way the tobacco mixure burns.
SEKE has embraced since 2006, a new program for the production of organic Basmas Tobacco type, which is officially supervised by the controlling organism of certification.
